Role Responsibilities

• Develop an action plan for the cohort portfolio startup you are assigned with in coordination with the respective Venture Director and deliver against that plan
• Manage our Investment Mapping Efforts and Identify promising new leads for future fundraising for MZZ Africa Startups
• Design a set of during-cohort and post-cohort metrics to track and measure the progress of portfolio company against key metrics and milestones
• Design pitch materials, Go-To-Market and Fundraising materials for portfolio startup
• Analyze Financial Statements, identify possibilities for synergies, economies of scale or cost optimization
• Help portfolio startup to develop a data and due diligence room for current and future fundraising efforts, complete with marketing, financial, legal and other materials
• Work directly with all other MZZ Africa Venture Finance Analysts to develop cross-team synergies and identify prospect partner firms and strategic partnerships for portfolio startups
• Guide research into specific consumer and marketplace trends, consumer segments, emerging businesses models, and emerging technologies to determine the attractiveness of incubating potential new ideas
• Develop, implement and maintain internal processes and systems to organize and streamline MZZ’s value-add services for our portfolio startups
• Identify and actively brainstorm ways MZZ can help other organizations to further promote and develop free support for Young Entrepreneurs across Sub-Saharan Africa
• Consistently inform team members and portfolio startup founder(s) on network building, stories of connectivity and value creation.
