Role Responsibilities

• Offer advice and expertise to clients to help them improve their business performance in terms of operations, profitability, management, structure and strategy
• Follow the direction of the Venture Director and complete all assigned tasks with quality and in a timely manner
• Manage our Investment Mapping Efforts and Identify promising new leads for future fundraising for MZZ Africa Startups
• Design a set of during-cohort and post-cohort metrics to track and measure the progress of portfolio company against key metrics and milestones
• Design pitch materials, Go-To-Market and Fundraising materials for portfolio startup
• Analyze Financial Statements, identify possibilities for synergies, economies of scale or cost optimization
• Conduct research, surveys and interviews to gain further understanding of the business
• Detect issues and investigate ways to resolve them
• Develop and implement new procedures or training
• Produce deliverables that align with client expectations and requests
• Attend agreed-upon client meetings and general body meetings on a weekly basis
• Check-in with your MZZ Africa Team Lead (Venture Director) on a weekly basis
• Actively check company Slack on a daily or near-daily basis
• Inform your MZZ Africa Team Lead immediately in case of any inability to work or attend a meeting
