Must Haves

• [ ] Building a tech product or tech-enabled solution
• [ ] Currently based, operating, or predominantly focused on the Sub-Saharan African space
• [ ] Early-stage (have raised no more than $5M in total external funding at the pre-seed and seed stage)
• [ ] Have at least a minimum viable product or working prototype that is past the conceptual stage
• [ ] You must be a homegrown founder (born/raised/have a cultural affiliation w/ the continent) OR at least 75% of your team must be 'on the ground', and have active decision-making power in the company

Things We'd Like to See, But Aren't Must Haves

• [ ] Startups from the following verticals: fintech, last-mile logistics, enterprise solutions, health & wellbeing, education, cleantech & sustainability, consumer & retail, food & agritech, smart cities, women's issues
• [ ] Roadmap & plan to scale startup predominantly on the African continent or other emerging markets (LATAM, SEA)
• [ ] At least one diverse founder from an underrepresented and/or underserved background (women, lower-income bracket, refugee, LGBTQ+, etc.)
• [ ] Short term & long term scaling plan - we want to see your roadmap, end goals, and stretch targets to gauge whether there's a cultural fit!
